No matter what “Top things to do in Kyoto” list you read, I can guarantee that Kinkaku-ji, or the Golden Pavilion will be ranked wither first or second. This is most definitely earned as well, Kinkaku-ji is one of my favourite places to visit in Kyoto, as long as you’re prepared for the crowds…

I never thought myself to be patriotic until I started travelling and I found that I missed certain things about home, one of which being the snacks I love. Now, don’t get me wrong – something I love about travelling is trying all the new food and whatnot, but I still love the familiarity of snack from Australia. I didn’t realise just how bad this was until I spent a year away from home on the ship.

Barossa Valley, South Australia

The Barossa Valley is the most well known wine region in Australia – known for it’s Shiraz – is located an hour north of Adelaide, South Australia. The region is so well known, trusted and respected for it’s Shiraz due to it’s climate as it’s perfect for the Shiraz grape – it’s hard to find a terrible Shiraz here! But aside from that, it’s an amazing region to visit for not only wine, but food and accomodation too.
