When cruising with Disney in Alaska, one of the highlights for me is the gorgeous scenery you’ll see the entire cruise. It’s one of the many reasons that I champion the verandah room for all Alaska rooms – you never know what you might see while chilling out there – literally, it can get quite cold haha but nothing some Hot Chocolate can fix! I’m going to share some of my favourite scenery and animal pictures from my time in Alaska, but I must say, nothing compares to seeing it in person!
One of the most spectacular times of day is night! Stay with me, but the sun sets so late, that the first 2 pictures above were taken just before midnight!! That’s how much light lingers around and makes such wonderful pictures and viewing. Plus it means that you can sit out on the top deck longer eating ice cream or pizza 😉
Another one of my favourite times on the ship is sunset/early dusk. The sun setting is amplified by the reflection off the water. No matter where you are, the sunset will be amazing over the water, but in Alaska, the sun takes longer to set – so you have more time to enjoy it!
Look at those mountains <3 <3Â The scenery in Alaska is unmatched and I’ve never seen anything like it. I used to be able to sit out on the deck and just watch it go by. I can’t wait till the next time I can go back to Alaska and see it all again.
